There are lots of booths around the main park in the center of town with food, antiques, a library book sale, games, and a band playing in the Gazebo all day long which kicks off the "Slice of Summer" concerts every Sunday night for the next five weeks. There is a parade and a classic car show. We have fireworks at the fairgrounds and flags in all the lawns.

But since Jeremiah's fire problem last year we have avoided the fireworks.

This year we have taken the extra step and are on a road trip to avoid the ffireworks altogether. I am in Idaho Falls right now, headed toward Yellowstone. I was invited out to friends from church who have a big bash every year. I just was not in the mood to go and sit in the hot sun, sweating like a pig. Coming home sun bearned and feeling miserable. So I am now sitting in my cool comfy apartment and thinking I made the right decision. It's stinking hot out there. As far as fire works. I can't stand the crowds. Especially in the heat. And mosquitos. Last year I discovered that I could see the fire works right from my 3rd floor apartment. So tonight I am going to be cool inside my place watching the show. Happy 4th of July to you, how ever you celebrate it.wandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03349804011773049769noreply@blogger.com
